Social Enterprise Academy
Oceans Global is awarded a fiscal grant from SEA after competing in a two-quarter course that mentors non-profit organizations in developing earned income opportunities. Five UCLA students were assigned to each non-profit. Students worked closely with the leadership of one organization as consultants to develop the best enterprise idea, conduct market research, create a business plan, and pitch the venture to compete for cash and pro bono prizes.
Social and Environmental Entrepeneurs
Oceans Global earns 501(c)(3) nonprofit status through its partnership with the Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs Foundation. SEE's long term vision is empowering individuals to turn their ideas of positive change in their communities into actions.
Hubbs-Seaworld Research Institute
Oceans Global Partners with Hubbs Seaworld to assist in driving awareness towards ocean conservation efforts. HSWR is dedicated to promoting scientific interest and understanding among the young people and the community to ensure that the next generation of research pioneers will be competitive in the world of science and industry.
