Since 1986 efforts by Ocean Resources Enhancement and Hatchery Program (OREHP) and Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute (HSWRI) have supplemented the white seabass population by 2.3 million fish with 115,000 being released in 2015. Since 1986 nearly 2000 fish have been tracked via their collection of heads from commercial and recreational fisherman. Ocean Global is looking to expand on the hard work of rejuvenating the WSB population and encourage more fisherman to submit their catch so that valuable data can be collected an learned from in order to further the gains over the last 30 years.
